The miniature version of a bulk material sorting system. The name of the model: 'TableSort' is definitely the name of the game, as the system actually fits on a table in terms of size. Due to its modular and compact design, the demonstrator can be shown particularly well at exhibitions and conferences. In addition, even small quantities of goods can be sorted very well. Inquiries about sorting options can be made directly at the customer's premises, which greatly reduces costs compared to a large system.

The model factory in Karlsruhe is a bottle handling facility with 10 stations equipped with diverse sensors, actuators, robots and PLCs as controllers. The PLCs are connected to a MES of Festo Didactic for scheduling and order processing. OPC UA servers integrate the PLCs on the shop floor into the edge tier; OPC UA is also applied in the Platform and Enterprise tiers of the Smart Factory Web architecture.

It is also a member of Labs Network Industrie 4.0.
